Yemen: ICRC operations from January to November 2012

ICRC activities in favour of people affected by conflicts and other violence in several of Yemen's governorates, including refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs), host communities, migrants and detainees.
By the end of November, the ICRC had helped more than 700,000 people have access to clean water, provided food parcels to more than 400,000 people and essential household items (including blankets, mattresses, kitchen utensils, and hygiene items) to over 196,600 people.
It has conducted regular visits to 18 places of detention and facilitated 145 phone calls and 194 video calls between Yemeni families and their relatives detained in Guantanamo and Afghanistan.
